The mixture of Tencel with the linen gives the shirt some weight and the fibers some luster which makes it stand out as incredibly well-made. Tencel and Linen are both very eco-friendly fibers. Linen is made from flax seeds (Yes..the ones you put in your smoothie) and Tencel is a semi-synthetic fiber which is a form of regenerated cellulose made by dissolving pulp of sustainably harvested trees and dry jet-wet spinning the pulp into material used to make fibers. Unlike rayon that competitors use, this fabric production does not use carbon disulfide, which is toxic to workers and the environment.
