A few weeks ago, a customer named Tom reached out to us with a story so awesome and moving, we just couldn't help but share it with all of you. 

This past Thanksgiving, Tom was wearing one of our T-Shirts, the Red Sun Primo. His grandpa noticed it, and was immediately struck by the artwork and fell in love with it. He was “entranced”. 

Tom shared that his grandpa is getting older, and moments of deep focus and connection like that are becoming rare. He asked if there was any way to get the artwork as a print so he could frame it and give it to his grandpa for Christmas. We sent him a letter about the artwork and that we would be happy to print, frame, and send it to him before Christmas.

Here is a blurb written by Jeff (Creative Director) to Tom about how this print came to be, “I found an old Japanese painting a few years ago while snowboarding in North Lake Tahoe that was hanging on the wall of a pizza place I love. That painting was powerful enough to stick with me and perpetually nagged at my conscious state of creativity until I used it as inspiration to create this print.”

On Christmas morning, Tom gave the framed print to his grandpa and the joy it brought him is something we will cherish. With Tom’s permission, we wanted to share this story with you because moments like that are rare + special, and we’re honored that something we made could be part of one!
