Normally swimming with jellyfish is a very bad idea. But the two species that live here now (Moon & Golden jellyfish) are harmless which makes this a tourist attraction you must see.

The Lake is located on Eil Malk Island in the western Pacific country of Palau. Millions of these jellyfish migrate horizontally across the lake daily, tracking the sun’s path across the sky. The water has a high concentration of toxic hydrogen sulfide. Scuba diving is considered dangerous in these conditions so only snorkeling is allowed on the lake.

Touring this attraction requires a Koror State Rock Island permit which costs $100 and lasts for 10 days. This is an experience you don’t want to miss out on!
