For 9 brutal hours on June 28th, 1776, British warships littered Colonel William Moultrie’s fort with cannon-fire to try and capture the city of Charleston. As night fell, the Redcoats realized Moultrie and his force of soldiers were not going to give up. They also noticed their cannons were largely being absorbed by the fort’s soft palmetto logged walls. This design is an ode to Colonel Moultrie and the resilient Palmetto tree. Wear with dignity.
